Try to avoid including public walkways or roads as movement in these areas may result in frequent false triggers.

1. HomeBase™ 3 is slow to read the data on your hard drive. Bigger storage* may take longer to set up. Please wait around 2 minutes after installing a hard drive to turn on HomeBase™ 3.
2. HomeBase™ 3 can read certain data formats only. An installed hard drive may need to be formatted by HomeBase™ 3 before it can be used.
3. If your hard drive is old, too hot, or damaged, it could be un-readable by HomeBase™ 3.
Inside HomeBase™ 3 there is a cooling fan that dynamically adjusts the wind speed to cool the device when required. If your space permits, we recommend placing HomeBase™ 3 in an open space to allow ventilation and heat dissipation.
*If you choose to use cloud-based features such as Cloud Backup or push notifications with thumbnail previews, videos or thumbnail previews will be sent to the cloud as needed to provide your selected features.
**Push notifications with thumbnail previews require thumbnail preview images to be temporarily stored in the cloud.

I like this new one upgrade for my Eufy ecosystem
I purchased the HomeBase 3 along with an E340 Video Doorbell and S340 SoloCam. The HB3 is a must have if you want all of the motion detection and AI options. Before I set it up I installed a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB internal SATA SSD because I knew I wanted to store a lot of video footage. The internal drive was easy to install with the instructions. I have the HB3 directly attached to our wifi router via the ethernet cable that is supplied. Once I plugged it in and let it go through the setup process, I then added it as a new device in the app. The app walks you through the setup process and makes it fairly simple. The new internal drive was recognized right away. You have to format the new drive but it’s easy in the app. Another big plus with the HomeBase is that it puts out a much stronger wifi signal than my wifi router itself. After connecting all of my cameras to the HomeBase instead of my wifi router, they now show the strongest connection possible with full bars.

Product arrived on time, installation was easy with my cameras. Only difficulty I had was with my Eufy Doorbell dual but when I took the doorbell close to the homebase 3, I was able to pair.
Had a previous glitch in the system and Eufy corrected the issue .

Died 13 months after
After 13 months of use the base died on me. Guess what.? 12 month of warranty. So eufy customer support basically said they can’t provide no support. Not even a discount to a new one. Smh. All my required cameras are now offline. Smh

Update:
Eufy surprisedly contacted me sometime after to resolve my issue. Which they sent me a replacement Base and now my cameras are back online. Thank you Eufy!!!
I can't complain about anything with the system. Easy setup. Adding cameras was easy. Eufy will continue getting my business.
I replaced my eufy HomeBase 2 with the new HomeBase 3. HomeBase 2 just stopped working all of a sudden.
I'm happy that my cameras still work with HomeBase 3.
