Video Doorbell E340 (Battery Powered)

I recently got this video doorbell camera and the battery life is pretty bad compared to the older model of the double camera doorbell. I use them both as wireless so need to charge them but the difference is in how long the battery lasts is bad. It’s annoying having to charge this one so frequently. And the newer model lags a lot also while the older one does not

The picture on this is so clear. The prices is right for the quality of this product. Was so easy to install. The app is so easy to navigate. Very sensitive detection which we love.

I love the quality of the video and how I can see with both cameras. I can set up how I get alerts and it connects with Alexa so I can hear the doorbell no matter where I’m at in my home. I also love that when you do that you can change the sound of the doorbell. Even customize it for holidays!

Replacement for same type of unit. Original units battery , after 3 years of use, would not hold a battery charge of 6 months anymore. Would last only 2 weeks after being charged. 3 year lifespan is not very impressive. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Replaced my Arlo, with this doorbell to save on subscription costs. This doorbell records locally which is convenient. Package camera is a nice feature.

This doorbell cam was easy to install and has no monthly fee. It does what I need it to do without the extra mystery alerts that I get on my eufy floodlight camera.

Replaced a Ring Pro 2 video door bell with the Eufy E340. The Ring video door bell's speaker was failing and the video image was degraded (Ring camera lens are plastic, and will degrade over time when they are used outdoor - ie like a video door bell camera). The Eufy E340 was a direct replacement (used existing mechanical door bell wiring, and chime ie. the Eufy E340 is drawing power from the existing transformer). E340 has a very clear video image. Speaker sound and microphone is also very clear. Integrates with my Amazon Alexa too. No subscription required. As noted in the install instructions, the E340 supports only 2.4 ghz wi-fi (as of this review - Oct 19, 2024). 2.4 ghz will penetrate thicker walls when compared to 5 ghz. Because of this, 2.4 ghz is preferred My previous Ring door bell supported 5 ghz, but was not reliable at 5 ghz (even though I had a wi-fi extender less than 2 meters away from the door bell - tested different channels too). Overall, I would recommend the Eufy E340 over the Ring video door bell. Another bonus, I purchased the Eufy E340 from Amazon.com (was on sale - Amazon Prime day).
