eufy Security Video Doorbell Add-On Chime

this is where you add the micro SD card so the E340 doorbell cam saves video footage.. aside if you want to add a homebase 3 which is also for saving video, I have both. very loud speaker and easy setup.

Great addition to my eufy doorbell camera to expand its memory and making it easy for us to hear the doorbell in the other side of the home. Easy to install, just follow the instructions.

I originally purchased this as a chime and microSD based video backup device for my eufy doorbell. I don’t have a wired doorbell, so I decided to use one of these in addition to using my two Echo Show devices as chimes throughout my three story townhouse. It worked well and did its job perfectly for several weeks… so well in fact that I decided to upgrade by security system by replacing all of my blink cameras with a Homebase 3 & eufycam 3c setup. The Homebase 3 has a chime as well as a hard drive slot…. so there’s no real need for this if you plan to upgrade to that type of system. I spend a lot of time in my garage, so I ended up putting this chime in there so I can hear the doorbell easily throughout my home. Great add on if you don’t already have or want a Homebase based system, or if you need to expand chime coverage of the doorbell.

The eufy door bell chime works great.

Love the new chimes ya get with it. Nice addition to the older model.

Used it for a 2nd door bell, we are still trying to work out the kinks.

The 'eufy' Security Video Doorbell E340 cannot be paired directly to your Wi-Fi router. Pairing first requires either a HomeBase S380 or a MiniBase Chime. The HomeBase S380 has an integrated chime, so a separate chime is unnecessary, and the HomeBase also accommodates connecting many devices. Neither the MiniBase nor HomeBase S380 require a cloud connection but can be configured to do so. I chose the MiniBase because I will not be attaching cameras or other devices. Once the base is paired to the Wi-Fi router, then the doorbell can be paired. Download the 'eufy' App. Be certain that it is the latest version. Then create a 'eufy' account and sign-in, and then follow the instructions to first setup the HomeBase or Chime. Once paired you can now setup the E340 doorbell.

I have been using a Google nest doorbell camera. I have one on my front door and one at the side door. As I travel and try to view the cameras they never seem to connect and time out. As a network technician I know it's not my network. After notifying Google and getting no help I decided to make the switch to e u f y. I have the home base along with it and must say it is very easy to install. The picture quality and sound quality are excellent. Battery life seems to be tremendous! And I like the feature that as you come near the camera it lights up the walkway making it easy to both walk and open the door with your keys. Setting up notifications makes it convenient and facial recognition is a wonderful feature. I am very impressed and unlike Google doorbell cams I like the chimes that I can make ring in my house so I know when somebody rings the doorbell
