      End of life product

2 stars because I like the products but 1 star because Eufy will not stand by the product. Even they state they do not encourage buying the keypad (see the image posted as well). My keypad malfunctioned and began spontaneously setting off the alarm stating the panic button was activated. This has happened several times (day and night) and Eufy offers no resolution. I will state my product is outside of their warranty period; however, their product malfunctioned and they offer no solution other than go by the bundle.

I have always proudly stood by the Eufy brand as my opinion was that it was a superior product that considered the costumer and their protection. This time with a situation they completely caused and control, they were unwilling to offer the protection they claim they offer.

      Great so far

I have other eufy products so this made sense to get their alarm system. I can definitely see why review are bad on the siren portion. It is not loud at all. The chimes for when door sensors are activated are also very low. I know they sell a separate siren, but not sure if it will do the chime sound as well. Other than the siren it has been working great these past few weeks.

So easy to set up, excellent security system

I can't stand the companies that charge you $500+ to install a system, then require $59/m for three years to monitor it. What a scam. I've used many types of monitored systems, and Eufy's is perfect. So easy to set up. The combined use of door/window opening monitors, motion detectors, and cameras ensure you've got the same coverage at the big guys. You can even add water and temperature monitors. Eufy monitoring is optional, but super affordable, $5/m or $50/y for basic, $9/m $99/y for advanced. Excellent offering for full security and peace of mind.

Does not say what model this is.

Works good enough. I like it can be set for silent (alarms off) and still blips my phone for entry notification or window tampering, and then I can choose to turn the siren I added on.I don't like hiding the model number. It's the lowest grade they make. The home-base is simple designated "2".The GUI is inconveniently flawed. You have to go through multiple pages to turn alarm and/or all sensors off/on. That should be the default home page. Drive you nuts if accidentally triggered and your clicking through pages to get to "OFF". Rest should be sub-menus.The glue on window sensors is ineffective and a PIA. Every time you check the batteries, removing the cover to get to them rips the whole sensor off the window. I used silicone. Also, the indicator used to align the sensor magnet is only on the face, where contact with the magnet is made. It should be on the side where it's not hidden when you are gluing it in place. The accessories seem expensive. Verified Buyers/ Users should get a break, not be a cash-cow for what anyone using the device adds out of necessity. Comes with two (total) window/ door sensors. I find that a bit cheesy, but perhaps fine for a Motel Room with only one Door and one window. Even a 1-Br Apt requires three sensors (1 door and 2 windows) and duplexes (with 2 doors) will need four sensors minimum. Additional sensors are $30 ea.Overall performance id good, but a bit mixed for the motion sensor.A warning is in order. I went nuts with the plastic covering on the batteries. Instructions don't tell you to remove it.All I want is to be promptly notified of tampering, then I can take appropriate measures based on my proximity. Aside from it's flaws, this alarm system seems to do that.I would buy again.

      great system for the price

Bought this system to replace an older system at our shop. Have not learned all the features yet but it is working great and love it more than our previous system. Great product and love that you can add to the system

Sort of OK - But Not Great

This 5-piece home alarm kit is alright (but not great) if you cannot fit a wired system, for instance in a rented house.

It is designed as a sort of "starter kit" to which additional door/window sensors, motion sensors, keypads, cameras and sirens can be added.

You need to use the free to download App in order to set things up. But this App is not, in any way, intuitive or easy to understand. However once you get the hank of the it the App does most of what you need.

You can add extra motion and entry sensors, as well as internal and external cameras. BUT you cannot add a second keypad, as they have been discontinued!

The kit ships with the old HomeBase 2 unit which you are bound to need to updated to the HomeBase 3 if you want to record anything from the cameras.

If you update to a HomeBase 3, the old HomeBase 2 unit becomes useless and cannot be even be used as a second alarm siren/sounder.

There are additional "Sirens" that can be added to the system to allow an alarm activation to be heard from other places not just from the HomeBase. Just be aware these "Sirens" are not very loud and do not accept an entry delay time to be set. So they alarm before you can disable the 5-piece alarm system.

      In summary:

A great idea, with well made hardware. But flawed due to a lack of proper add-on sirens, additional keypads and with a poorly designed App.

So sad it is bad. Kit included support, no support exists.

The set up was safe and easy. However this is day 2 and even in off setting the alarm still rang out. Another issue is that is says we are in practice mode, which we are not. I tried calling for support got nobody, told me to email in my questions, no response. I live chatted and they said someone will be emailing me in two hours, now 12 hours later nothing has been received, spam mail box was checked as well. The home kit is great, but no support despite the app and the website saying otherwise.
