SoloCam S340 + HomeBase S380

Excellent products! The S340 is mounted high up on a palm tree at the southwest corner of the front yard at least 60 feet from the Homebase. It gives a view of the entire front of our home, the entire street in front of our home, and the entire side of the home. The solar panel doesn't get much direct sun, but I think it will get enough to keep the battery topped off. If not, I will use the extension cord and move the solar panel to another position where it will get more direct sun. A second camera will soon be mounted on top of the pool cage near the northeast corner of the property. That will give us a view of the entire north side yard, the entire back of the house, and the golf course behind the house. Anyone who comes onto our property will be recorded to the Homebase. Take some time to think things out as to where you will mount your cameras. If you don't have trees or a structure, put a couple of 6' pressure treated 4x4s two feet deep in the ground with concrete, spaced 3 1/2" apart. When it's set completely, you can take a 12' or 16' 4x4 and mount it with two 12" long 3/4" galvanized bolts through all three pieces of lumber. With one of the bolts removed, you can mount your camera near the top, then raise the 4x4 (with the help of a friend) until the other set of holes lines up, put in the second bolt and nut, and bingo, you have a pole you can lower when needed to clean or service the camera without needing a ladder.

My free gift was missing

Great however, it does not work in buildings even though I’m o. The internet. Not sure why. Thoughts?

My only beef with this camera is that the sensor is not great at picking things up that are not generally in front of where the camera is pointing. In purchasing a camera that swivels and covers lots of area I thought the sensor would be good throughout the entire of what the camera covers. It seems like a reasonable expectation.

I have the home base/ camera to recognize people, pets, vehicles. I thought this would not alert you if the camera recognized someone and reduce the amount of notifications I receive. Instead I get 100+ notications a day "vehicle has been detected, pet has been detected, "Bob" has been detected". Is there something in the settings I am missing? Besides this issue, the product and quality is great!

I really like the camera's, they sometimes will stop and reset themselves, and start back up, so it's a little buggy.

Mostly good, but today 4 of the cameras missed a car going out from the property. There are also problems decrypting the data from the HomeBase. I hope that upgrading to faster internet and WIFI will solved this particular problem.
The documentation is not mentioning how can the owner reach the data stored on HomeBase directly via sftp or ssh. That would make my life much easier.
