eufyCam E Add-on Camera

We have Eufy Security with a total of 5 cameras. Great product and great customer service. We appreciate the smartphone notifications without the monthly fees. Exactly what we were looking for.

I’ve been patiently waiting for systems such as these: Wireless with a home base. The night vision is excellent. I get notifications when motion is detected. Remote monitoring. I can be in Hong Kong and see what’s going on at my remote mountain house. Several brands offer these features. What sets Eufy apart is local storage in lieu of cloud/subscription storage. This sealed the deal for me. I have limited (rural) internet and must use satellite (Viasat) for my internet which has limited data. Storage to the cloud takes up data. Local storage does not. I get a notification (sensitivity is easily adjusted) then I can go see the 20 second video stored on the base station through the app. Only then is data being used.

I have four of these cameras around my home. I'm especially happy with them. I chose eufy because their cameras store the video capture locally not in the cloud. They have a cloud service if you want, but it isn't needed review your captures. It just gives you more storage than you would be able to keep on the SD card in the homebase unit. I didn't want to have to pay monthly for storage. The video quality is outstanding. The angle of view is broad. I find that the area being sensed for motion is (as described by eufy) narrower than the field of view. So, what you see on your phone / iPad isn't what triggers a recording. But, that works for me as I'm mostly interested in capturing anyone attempting to access my home. That work fine. In fact I'm alerted when ever we have a delivery and that is great.

SUPPORT: This is where eufy really shines. I've contacted support a number of times with questions and they are the most responsive group I've ever worked with. They always get back to you promptly and with intelligent questions and answers. NOT ones from front line canned scripts that reflect that they didn't even read your question. DUH...
Recently I did have one of my cameras develop a problem with a blurred image. I contacted eufy and within days had a replacement camera in my hands. It works perfectly. I've recommended eufy cameras to a friend and he installed them at his home too. He is very happy too.

Good picture/ video quality.

I've had this for a year now and still at 50% battery capacity! It mounts with two screws and attaches to the base with a very strong magnetic ball joint that allows you to position it at almost any angle. Adjustable sensitivity and human detection filters out most other movement. The microphone is very clear and sensitive as well as image quality both day or night. The I/R camera is amazing. It also serves as a two way communication like a video door bell. I can call the girls up for dinner if they're playing in the back yard. The Eufy base station stores all video and audio preventing loss of data in event of theft. There's also an alarm if the unit is disturbed. Super impressed with this!

Quality camera that is very easy to setup. Adds right on to the home base. Comes with two different style mounts. Love all my Eufy cameras

I was attracted to Eufy for two main reasons. One, was cost. You can purchase a monthly plan at several levels or you can opt out of plans and pay nothing. The second was this camera will hold a charge for an entire year. Much longer than any others on the market. It also has great features such as night vision, clarity of view, adjustable field of vision, and motion detection. This last was important because I have a camera near bushes and trees. Wind caused the camera to detect motion. By adjusting the field and range, I was able to select only a clear area of focus. I previously purchased the 3-pack of cameras and home station. I purchased this camera to add a fourth. Lastly the cell phone App provided is very easy to negotiate. You can make all the adjustments and turn cameras on and off remotely.
