FAQ

What's the difference between this camera and the Spaceview Baby Monitor?
This camera comes with 2K high-resolution so you can see every detail of your baby. You can check on your baby via the eufy Baby app anytime and from anywhere as long as you have internet connection. The Spaceview Baby Monitor has a 720p camera and does not need Wi-Fi to work.
Is the material of this camera safe for my baby?
The camera shell is made of ABS plastic, which is a non-toxic, stable plastic.
What app do I use with this camera?
Please download the eufy Baby app, available for Android (versions 5.0 and newer) and iOS (versions 11 and newer). This camera is not compatible with the eufy Security app.
Does the camera need to be plugged in all the time?
Yes.
Why is the LED Indicator so dim?
Assuming the camera will be mounted to face the baby directly, the light has been dimmed to avoid any disturbance.
Does it support cloud / RTSP / NAS?
Yes.

No, this camera does not currently support the Google Assistant, Alexa, or HomeKit.

Reliable monitor

The camera works great! It self adjusts for night vision and you can still see baby great. When shopping for a baby monitor, I really wanted one that used wifi so my husband could check in on the baby when he’s at work and get a little glimpse into our day. This camera has an app that works very well, you can invite a baby sitter or relative to the app very easily and take away access just as easily. The make of camera also makes security cameras so I felt safe despite the potential dangers that come with a wifi baby monitor. All in all this camera is great and honestly comparable to the nanit without the pricey monthly membership costs. The only issue I have with it, is that the notifications are very sensitive. It will notify me if the door to the baby’s room is closed too loudly, if a loud car goes by, etc. I think it’s better that it’s too sensitive rather than not sensitive enough!

Works great and reliable!

Overall great monitor! Love the settings you can adjust and it is pretty sensitive to noise like others mentioned - it does go off with loud noises in the house like doors and loud cars driving by but I'd rather that than it not go off with baby noises! Camera quality is really good and it holds up well!

Wonderful!

We got this and the eufy smart sock and they work wonderfully together. The camera has such great features; clear picture day or night, quiet motion, and the speaker/lullaby is nice, too! Mounting and set up was easy!

Great camera and price!

We had one of the most expensive baby monitors and it had had technical issues intermittently then became unusable. The company was slow to respond so we purchased this monitor as a temporary fix since we use their home security cameras and it’s become our new favorite monitor now!

Awesome Baby Monitor

Screen is big enough and picture quality is wonderful. Only issue is the battery discharges too quickly, we always used it plugged in.

Awesome baby monitor

This is really a first impression rather than a full review. I've not had that much time to work with it, and our baby isn't hear yet, which really limits what I can test. I'll update once I've gotten more testing time. But with no other reviews, I thought these things would be useful for others debating if they should try it.

Note: This does NOT include viewing monitor. Your phone/tablet/device is your monitor. It promises to notify you of sounds (e.g. cries), temperature swings, etc., so that you know to check the feed. So be advised, when you switch away from the app, you can't see/hear things, although it does record everything onto an on-device SD card (32GB included). That being said, here are some of my first impressions:

Camera Quality
Pleasantly surprised! Camera quality is clearly superior to any other baby monitor I've ever used. Sharp, super clear image. Very minor delay (half a second maybe). 15fps. Haven't been able to test night vision yet, but with how good the image looked in low light in the room I tested it in, I imagine night vision will be sharp and clear as well.

Temperature Sensor
Works well. When enabled, it overlays the room temp on the video, and you can set it to provide alerts if the temperature goes out of a specific range (too cold or too hot).

Sound Alerts
The audio quality is clear and plenty loud through my phone's speakers. You can see where they replaced the feature descriptions with a sticker claiming to alert you when your baby cries to alerting you of loud noises. Either it wasn't good at discerning between cries and other noises, or they didn't want the liability of it failing to detect a cry when there's background noise present.

Surprise Bonus, Game-Changing Feature
Nowhere in the product description or provided quick start guide mentions this. But, in the app, you can set it up specifically with your baby and create their profile. You set their birthdate and/or due date, weight, and skin tone. Why skin tone? It notes that 'Infrared sensors detect your baby's heart rate and blood oxygen levels. This setting may need to be adjusted for different skin tones.' For what this monitor costs, it immediately became 100% worth it in comparison to one with a provided monitor, assuming this feature is active and working. (It's possible it's unreleased yet because of the lack of documentation anywhere.) I won't find out until our baby arrives to test it, but I'm really excited for that feature, as SIDS is a terrifying possibility as a parent. Any warning that could help monitor and stop a tragedy from happening is HUGE. Here's hoping it actually works well.

Setup
Setup was overall intuitive and easy. The only thing that wasn't clear from the get go is that it could only be paired with one account. Quickly, however, I found a sharing option that allows you to share full-featured access to the camera with other users. I've not played with it enough to know if it allows a more limited share as well (limited hours, no ability to move the camera for example). I don't know if I'd want to give out full access even to grandparents for the sake of my wife nursing, etc. But if we could limit the time frames and limit viewing angles for sharing, then that would potentially be great bonus feature.

Firmware Update
I checked for a firmware update and was prompted to update the firmware from (if I remember correctly) 1.1.1.5 to 1.1.4.3. There was no documentation or explanation as to what that update provided, but it updated quickly and flawlessly. I didn't notice anything new in the app before/after.

As I get more time to work with it, I'll update with my thoughts and reactions.

Superb video quality, surprise game-changing bonus features!

So I had a Eufy space view camera and baby monitor previously. As we're about to add a second child we need a new camera. I got this upgrade. I read about some difficulty with adding the second monitor. While it is not seamless it is pretty easy. I had to update the firmware as noted in video instructions on the Eufy site for both the monitor and camera. As soon as I did that i was able to pair within seconds.

High quality, reliable camera with neat features.

First of all, the picture quality is wonderful and crisp. It's very nice to be about to store everything locally and not pay a subscription. I'm so glad that eufy now includes an SD card for you! I purchased their 3-in-1 video doorbell in the past and was a bit surprised it wasn't included back then! The set up is very easy to your home Wi-Fi and straightforward with directions and the device is responsive, but does depend on the quality of your internet connectivity. The device comes with a convenient kit to set up a platform along the corner of your room over the crib/bassinet or clamped to the edge of the same. I'll sometimes have it up on my phone while at work so I can just listen in on our baby peacefully breathing and sleeping (or crying!). Yes, the audio quality is great as well. I do love how you can download clips that the eufy automatically records when events trigger (e.g. crying, temperature out of range).Extra feature that would be nice is uploading your own music or lullabies. There are some default ones provided and these are your only options. In addition, I shared permissions with my wife to access the camera, but she didn't get an email. We found out that she needed to first download the eufy baby app (different from eufy security) to accept the access invitation.Definitely recommend this product.
