What should I know before installing and using the radar sensor and light strip?
Add them in the eufy app before installing; keep close to the controller while pairing. Poor network or Wi‑Fi 7 may affect pairing. Adjust the sensitivity and angle (30°–45°) to avoid triggering issues. Check the radar LED flash to confirm detection.
What is the maximum supported length of eufy Permanent Outdoor Lights S4? Is Y‑shaped connection supported?
Due to power and signal attenuation, S4 supports up to 200 ft / 60 m (144 LEDs) only. Y‑shaped connection is not supported.
Why is my light strip not lighting, dimming, or flickering?
Ensure correct installation, and power off or manually calibrate when adding strips. For dimming issues, keep length under 150 ft. For flickering, check that extension cables are under10 m / 30 ft, connections are tight, and there's no LED damage.
Can the radar trigger third‑party devices via Matter? What can the light strip do via Matter?
The radar can only trigger eufy Permanent Outdoor Lights S4. With Matter, you can use third‑party devices to turn lights on/off, and control brightness, color, or temperature. Apple Home supports away/home lighting and linking with some eufy locks.
