The lights arrive with each component of the light installation kit compartmentalized for easier installation. Printed instructions are included, but the best method for understanding the install process is to view the installation video (accessed via a QR code on the instructions). There are a total of three essential components for the system. The power adapter, control with button and the light strings. The power adapter can light up to 200' of lights. The control contains the processing chip along with Bluetooth and Wifi communication, so it needs to be mounted where reception is good. The light strings are 25' in length, with lights spaced every 14.5 inches. All connections are water tight with threaded caps that include o-rings.In addition to essential components, there are several accessories that can help to make installation easier. A short extension cable for the controller, longer 12' extension cable to use between the controller and first string of lights, a male and female splice (to shorten the last light string to fit your roof), measuring cards, extra light mounting bases and cable retention clips and ties. The last optional component is the radar motion sensor.Prior to installation, it is important to plan ahead. The lights must be one long string, so they must start at one side then run continuously for up to 200' maximum. In order to have the controller in the garage, it was necessary to drill a hole in the eaves, so the extension cord to the first light could pass from inside to outside. Mounting the lights was the easy part. The bases can be removed if the fasteners are to be used, which is necessary when mounting to wood. The light can then be slid back onto the base after it is attached. Alternatively, the 3M adhesive tape on the back of each light can be used without fasteners on metal surfaces.Once the lights are in place, the radar motion detector can be added between any two strings of lights. Alternatively the splice can be used to place the radar at any location, though that adds complexity and the splice is no longer available to shorten the last string to the perfect length. The radar sensor is amazingly accurate. Once installed you can set the lights to "follow glow" which only turns on the lights directly across from people as they walk. Additionally by using the motion detector, you can save electricity by only having the lights only turn on when someone comes close to the house.The lights have three LED modules. One is for RGB colors and the other two are for warm and cool white light. By having two separate LEDs for white light temperature, the LEDs can adjust between 1500k and 9000k. It is nice to have that degree of accuracy. The colors produced are vibrant and bright as each light can emit up to 60 lumen. With 72 lights total on a 100' length, that is up to 4,320 lumens lighting up the house!The Eufy App was recently updated. It is intuitive to navigate and includes the ability to schedule lighting effects for every holiday on your calendar in advance. The lights will come on during the calendar days and at the on/off times pre-scheduled, so there is no need to remember once they are set in the application. There are a large number of pre-programmed scenes from which to choose or a custom program can be created. Having permanent lights with so many options makes preparing for the holidays a little easier.

One of the best lights I’ve ever bought only wish I would’ve bought more. I wish I could just buy an extra hundred feet without having to buy a whole new kit. That’s the only downside.

installation was straight forward, and the lights work well. Lots of options for festive looks, or you can go with something simple. The scheduling feature works well to have it come on and off at specific times.

I have recently purchased my first home and as such didn't have the ubiquitous massive box of holiday lights in my garage. Thankfully I came across these because I shouldn't need to buy any other lights! Installing them was actually incredibly simple. Each light has an adhesive back that allows you to place them before you permanently mount them with a screw. I cannot express how much easier that is than trying to mount some hook and then running lights afterwards. This kit only comes with a single motion sensor, so unfortunately you cannot set up multiple zones like they advised, but it's still nice to have set up by my front door so they come on as I approach. Getting them programmed is pretty simple too. There is several pre-sets for the lights, or you can design your own. I found that having them a bright color directly over my windows makes it somewhat difficult to sleep, so having the ability to set timers with presets to turn off those lights is absolutely amazing. Overall I love the look they have on the house, and appreciate that I can change the lights for each holiday without needing to rent an extension ladder every couple months to put up new decorations.
