I purchased the Homebase 3 system before but unfortunately it uses it's own 2.4 GHz network (not my home network which is much faster and more rebust). Because of this, I had to purchase 2 Homebase 3's to have in different locations to support the 2.4GHz distance limitation.

I was hesitant to purchase the NVR system because I was concerned that it would only work on the PoE ports supplied. Fortunately, I can use my own PoE switches to provide power to the cameras and just plug the PoE switch into the NVR's PoE port. Poe Camera -> my PoE switch -> my network --> NVR PoE port (it works great).I'm guessing with all the cameras I have, I need to purchase another NVR later

With regards to the Homebase 3, it should have the option to use the ethernet to record all the videos (instead of the 2.4Ghz). Most people have a home network setup already using Wifi...it can just piggy back off that

Purchased this to replace my current NightOwl system.... But im looking for a more AI and more updated system... And at an affordable base that supported 4k.... So i went for this....

Mounted the cameras, ran the wires, plugged everything in, and was up and running. Set up was fairly easy and straightforward, for an old guy. Needed to get a switch because only had1 port on my router and that was in use. Had to do the whole hook to internet and update software stuff. Bought a wireless mouse to make things easier. Not an NVR issue, but alot of trial and error in set up regarding cam views, sensitivity, preferred zones,privacy zones, etc. Several days now and still tweaking things. I already had a solar powered S3, and it integrated into the system too. Fairly pleased with the system so far. Lots of odd triggers, but hopefully the AI will start to sort things out.

Product is not capable with installed cameras. Policy for returns and refund is beyond comprehension.
