So far so good

So far the home base professional is a lot more stable than the home base 380.The 3.5 hdd definitely made the difference in stability. Before on the home base 380, my cameras would lock up and not record and I had to reformat my drive for it to work again.I had a few problems with my home base professional but the wonderful team in eufy helped me out.

For the most part it's a very good unit

For the most part it's a very good unit. However, I have some issues. First moving equipment from my HomeBase 3 to the HomeBase Pro has been a bit problematic. I'm still trying to get some items to migrate to the new system. Second, the LED on the front is very bright. I would be nice to be able to adjust the the brightness in the app max brightness to dim or even off. I like that I can use a full size (3.5") hard drive instead of the smaller laptop size drives (2.5"). I'm currently using a 2TB drive but will be upgrading to a 16TB in the near future. I would highly recommend this unit.

The system demonstrates latency during event-triggered recording initialization

The system demonstrates latency during event-triggered recording initialization. Additionally, environmental activity, such as passing vehicles or nearby pedestrian movement, appears to introduce signal disruption that intermittently prevents camera recording and connectivity. When this disruption occurs, manual device reboot is required to re-establish stable operation and restore recording functionality.

Very slow compared to the regular station

Very slow compared to the regular station. Unfortunately, no improvements were made so far

Not Ready for Primetime

Not all S3 Pros will migrate and/or manually add to it. What really sucks is that the new S4 does not work with it, what's up with that? I have had to recycle power a couple of times just for it to reconnect to the cameras. Almost ready to move everything back to my HomeBase 3. It is up-to-date on firmware.

HomeBase Pro S1 is like going back in time

HomeBase Pro S1 is like going back in time. Its a huge device that houses a 3.5" drive (limited to 16GB) yes, it has a faster processor over the SB380 but you can house 6 380s in this one unit. Not a lot of thought went into the design of this unit. Lets not talk about the unavailable AI edge module you'll still need to purchase. Unit 400$ 14GB surveillance drive 300$ then the AI edge whenever its available. Why rhe need to such a large unit and not leverage newer tech Is a concern.
Functionality is very similar to the SB380 for my devices. Although the Solar wall lights do not migrate and must be re paired with the HomeBase. Video clips take much longer to decrypt. Love view seems very jerky and not consistent. Is this due to the Pro S1 or the fact its trying to use the hybrid (bridge) wifi vs my dedicted 2.4ghz (again limited by Eufy) mesh wifi.
Many things avout rhe Pro can be ironed oit with better firmware updates. However the size is the size. Good luck concealing it like the SB380.

Not what I thought!

Transferring over to this system isn't seamless they make it. Some cameras switch over and other don't. Need to make this system more user-friendly!

Slow and lots of issues

This product does not work properly with wifi cameras. It will constantly fail to connect to PoE and Wireless cameras. When it does this it is usually because the camera you click on in the app isn't the actual camera it tries to connect to like there is an internal issue with the system. It also causes cameras to die when migrating them from the older homebase.
