eufy Smoke Alarm E10

I love the ease of installation and compatability with Homebase 3. Purchased several for key location around the residence. Now every device is a part of the eufy infrastructure and monitoring service.

A couple of tech challenges….

Perhaps I should give it an incomplete…Because it might be a 4 star item once I finally get it installed.

I’m using it to trigger a device which will kill the power on my stove when it hears the alarm.

But the test button only makes noise for a second or two and not long enough to trigger the stove device.

Which leads to the second challenge…The test button only makes a brief noise and doesn’t send a notification to your phone.

So you end up in this frustrating position where the device might work if there was smoke…or it might not.

So I’m waiting for an aerosol can of misting fluid to arrive which can trigger a smoke alarm with no actual fire.

This is all a software question and there should be more testing functionality which works with with rest of the Eufy environment.
