cameras work as they should

We originally bought this 2-pack of eufyCam 2s when we were renting an apartment and I had to work late nights. The front door to the building had no lock because it was under renovation, random people were always coming and going, and my fiancé did not feel great about that (understandably). These cameras honestly gave us a ton of peace of mind.Because we were renting and didn’t have any wiring for a “real” hardwired security system, the wireless setup was perfect. We could mount them with minimal damage to the walls, and if we moved, they came with us. Setup was pretty straightforward: HomeBase in the apartment, cameras wherever made sense, done.The best part for me is the battery life. Charging every ~6 months isn’t an exaggeration, they really do last a long time. Fast-forward three years, and as I’m writing this we’re in a new home and still using the same exact two cameras outdoors for general surveillance.My favorite “hack” with these: I found a little portable micro-USB solar panel, glued it to the roof, and ran the cable to one of the outdoor cameras. Now it just sits out there powered by the sun and I literally never have to take it down to charge. It’s been running like that for over a year in the weather with zero issues, which is kind of wild.Things I dont love (but can live with):• The app can be a tiny bit laggy sometimes when pulling up a live view, especially if your Wi-Fi is acting up.• Motion detection can be a little sensitive or not sensitive enough until you fiddle with the settings and zones a bit. It took some tweaking to stop getting a million notifications.Overall though, for renters, people without existing wiring, or anyone who wants dead-simple wireless cameras with great battery life, these have been solid. The fact that they’ve followed us from a sketchy apartment hallway to a proper home and are still going strong says alot.

I like these cameras its easy to mount with many different ways you can mount them and easy for them to pair on the app. The solar charger on the top is an added bonus.

Wish I would have bought this four years ago. So dependable and good picture.

I have several different camera systems in use right now, and I'm thinking of switching the remainder over to eufy due to the easy of setting everything up, the good image quality, and most importantly the lack of having to maintain a subscription. This definitely helps keep costs down, without losing any of the functionality I have with the other systems.

Very easy to install and setup. Good valve. Picture quality is great. Light on camera can be turned on and off from app is convenient.
