FAQ
Where can I find detailed setup instructions and full compatibility information?
For full guidance, please see the user guide in the "Safety Documents" section below. It details compatible devices, installation options, and how to connect the camera to HomeBase Mini or your router.
Can C31 be used outdoors?
Yes. The product is IP66-rated for dust and water resistance, including when installed upside down. The main unit is specially sealed for weatherproofing, including the charging ports, SD card slot, and cables.
How does storage work, and do I need to buy a microSD card?
C31 has no built-in storage. Use microSD card (up to 256GB, sold separately) or HomeBase Mini (64GB internal, expandable to 1TB). Format microSD in eufy app first. Insert into camera (standalone) or HomeBase (connected).
How do I set up and add my devices to HomeBase Mini?
Step 1 (Skip if HomeBase already added): Open app. Power on, connect HomeBase Mini/3 to network, scan code to add.
Step 2: Scan camera QR in app, tap Connect to HomeBase, press SYNC 2s until blue light blinks, follow instructions.
Can C31 support 24/7 continuous recording?
When using the 24/7 recording feature with eufy Wired Cam C31 alone, an SD card is required. Once connected to a storage-enabled HomeBase or similar hub, continuous recording can be achieved without the need for an SD card.
Is C31 compatible with HomeBase and HomeKit?
C31 is compatible with HomeBase 3 and HomeBase Mini, but not with HomeBase 2. Connection to HomeKit is not supported.
Why is the SD card slot screw hard to remove?
Because our screws are designed to prevent loss, they can only be loosened, not completely removed. Simply loosen the screw and take off the cover; then you can insert the SD card.
