Great system easy to install, no service charges

Had trouble following app instructions for installation but was pleased that there was a toll free number to call for help. The assistant was not only professional and readily advised correctly, it was cheerful, and stayed on the line to ensure the setup was complete and working. The video is clear, the lock works well, all in all a perfect doorbell. I would give it five stars if the app instructions were a bit clearer.

Edit:So originally I bought it and thought you couldn't pan it left to right but after exploring in the app I have found that you can buy the installation instructions didn't include it, just the FAQs about connectivity and panning. So it works as intended so far and is pretty easy to mount and setup. Be sure to pair all the cameras first by putting them near the base station as it uses some weird sound beeping thing to help pair the camera (it's super high frequency and loud and annoying but I feel like some people wouldn't be able to hear it).So, I bought the 4 camera set to upgrade from the battery powered cameras to get 24/7 footage. I go to install and get up on a ladder with power running to this thing and come to find I cant point it left or right only up and down without turning the whole camera sideways... Maybe I'm stupid but I couldn't figure out a way to get the camera upright and also turning side to side so I could point it out of a corner..Oh well I actually only needed two cameras anyways and bought the extras so I just put up the extras to cover the blind spots.

My system works great! I get notifications from the system in the house or away without a service provider. I am looking forward to adding to system.

I love it so far! Got the 4 cam set and added a doorbell! As I installed my last cam I called vivint to cancel the terrible equipment I had for years!

Ok I’m a huge Eufy fan, but don’t worry it won’t make me biased in this. The camera quality is great and the recording quality in the app is good. If you are going to spend your hard earned money read this first.It seems like previous reviews here seem to name the homebase as the culprit, my brother in law and I bought this system a few days apart just to find out that his homebase failed and they had to ship him a new one it took about a week and a half which is way too long considering this is security. The home base would turn on and off randomly which would not let him connect he called and they had to send a new one.The homebase itself is the brains of the entire thing meaning if the homebase fails all of your security cameras are down which means you’re out of luck until they send you a new one. That is the one big drawback about the system and once you get your new homebase, you need to bring every camera down and bring it close to the homebase again as an initial set up. I don’t understand why Eufy would make this so hard because it takes a while to set up the cameras. It’s ridiculous to bring them back down just to connect them to the new homebase if your previous homebase failedThe Eufy app is good. I wish they would make squares of four to be able to fit the cameras without scrolling too much because I have quite a few cameras. It takes forever to scroll through them.The homebase does add AI to the system to understand faces of your family and friends. It also picks up vehicles a lot faster. There is a pet option but I don’t have it turned on but so far tracking people and vehicles has been great! Plug homebase near router so that you can have an ethernet connection for set up. After you set up all 4 cameras you can unplug the homebase to a more central location so that all your cameras can have good connectivity.Another incredible thing is that it picks up people through different cameras meaning if I go to the front yard and then pass the doorbell it will string these two videos together for you in a report so you can see where they went throughout your house instead of switching camerasInstall was easy for me since I don’t have to go up high for my cameras. You just plug them into a normal outlet and find your way outside.Please plug all cameras in before you install since they need to be set up by homebase you cannot set up remotely. Home base has to be really close. INSTALL ALL UPDATES AND CAMERAS BEFORE GOING OUTSIDE TO SET UP. So plug in near homebase set up in eufy app and then unplug and plug in the next camera set up and keep going till all 4 cameras are set up. Once they are all set up you can unplug them and plug them into an outlet closer to the location you want to set the camera up.Other than that everything is else working fine and my homebase is going strong so hopefully this holds up and this system lasts me a long time. Nice system, but with one major drawback. The homebase3 has a 1tb hard drive included, but it is a 2.5" hard drive. I need more than 10 days of 24/7 recording, being on the road a lot. Having major trouble finding a higher storage capacity 2.5" hard drive that is designed for continuous writing of data. Toshiba sells a 4tb hard drive that is 2.5", but it is junk, IMO. Even eufy doesn't recommend using that brand. Typical hard drives made for computers are designed for non-continuous use. SSD's are also designed for intermittent use. So, using a typical HDD or SDD that is designed for computers are destined to fail prematurely if being used for 24/7 recording of cameras. Almost every major hard drive manufacturer makes a specific hard drive for continuous recording of video. For example, Western Digital makes the "purple" hard drive which is specifically designed for that purpose. All of them are 3.5" hard drives. Here comes the issue. Eufy offers no USB port for using remote hard drives. What if I want to store the data in a secure enclosure? I can't because I am forced to use an internal hard drive in the homebase3 which must sit in the open for the WiFi to work with the cameras. It's like a catch 22. The homebase3 offers convenience, but no security for data recording. I pleaded my case up the chain with eufy for adding a USB port for remote data recording, but it has so far fell on deaf ears. They are deciding what is best for the customer instead of listening to the customer as to what is best for them. Hopefully, that will change. Almost every hard drive specifically designed for constant video recording are 3.5" disk drives. Get with the times, eufy! While the 3.5" drives have a higher sound level than the 2.5" drives, the sound level is still very low. 3.5" hard drives use a little more power than the 2.5" hard drives; and the 3.5" hard drives use 12 volts instead of the 5 volts the 2.5" drives use. But, to get around that, all one needs is a USB port on the homebase3 to use a remote 3.5" hard drive that has its own 12 volt power supply. I hope other customers complain to eufy regarding more flexibility for recording data in order to take advantage of the 3.5" hard drives that are specifically designed for 24/7 recording. If it wasn't for this one major drawback, I would give eufy a 5 star rating.

Set up was easy and I was very impressed with the quality of the video and the zoom feature!
