eufyCam S330 (eufyCam 3) 4-Cam Kit

I put this at my driveway (private road) and after using it for 5 months the battery is now dead and the camera turned off. Absolutely ridiculous!

Pros: Adding SanDisk 240GB SSD to Home Base, for increased storage, and formatting was smooth and easy. Installation of cameras very straightforward (app tutorial included) and Eufy app set up very intuitive (initial charging at Home Base prior to camera installation can take a few hours). Customization and options for individual cameras excellent. Solar charging has kept cameras at approximately 95% charge over two weeks with thousands of incidents recorded. Color and black and white night vision have excellent clarity. 4K resolution is excellent. Dual microphones very sensitive with very good sound quality in app. Ability to turn Home Base into a Wi-Fi extender is an excellent feature for extending range.Cons: no app for PC. Ability to share a camera, or a location, for 24 hours, but no events accessible and no controls for each camera during live feed (almost entirely designed for mobile use through app). Speakers built into cameras to speak through can break up at times if set on full volume.Excellent quality and features overall.

I would have given this camera a 3 star review if it weren't for the fact that hurricane Milton ripped it off of my pool cage and down into the surge that was ascending up my back yard. I don't know how much time it spent in the surf but it survived and still works! After a lot of time in salt water! Aside from that I think it's an OK camera. I love that it has its own solar panel on top and I never had to install an external panel...it always got enough juice from the sun to run. It never really seemed to do a great job of picking up activity in my back yard. If the dogs were out and walking right in front of the camera I would usually get alerts about that, but if there was a raccoon or cat that walked by 10-15 feet from the camera it never picked that up. My Nest camera always did. Also, the clips it does save are at the very tail end of the activity so you really don't get a good idea of what was going on. Again, the Nest is much better in this department. I have the S3 Pro on order and I hope it does a better job in these respects.

You can't beat the price and performance. I was so impressed with this set that I upgraded the system. Now I have more camaras and the doorbell.

Upgrading from a old v1 system. The cameras are much higher quality, but don't have magnetic mounts on the back of them anymore. The person detection power by the new base station has been vastly improved and even allows my old cameras to now properly detect people. Don't need to record every random leaf or shadow moving anymore.

So much more convenient than the manual recharge models. Only problem I have is that none of these can differentiate between humans and animals at night.
